WE CAN'T KEEP YOUTHS FROM TOBACCO AND ALCOHOL, SO WHY ADD MARIJUANA?

Parents and educators should be the only ones to worry if the
recreational use of marijuana is legalized for adults. As long as
parents and educators are doing their single most important job, which
is raising intelligent, responsible youths who know right from wrong,
what is the real concern with the legalization of marijuana?

Oh, but wait; I've overlooked something here. I forgot how difficult
that one job can be for most parents and educators, seeing how young
people are seen smoking and chewing tobacco everywhere you turn, in
addition to the countless deaths involving underage drinking. Perhaps
the concern is that we as a society, parents and educators included,
have yet to teach the youths of America right from wrong as it relates
to the drugs that are already legal: tobacco and alcohol.

By legalizing marijuana, it would only give our children one more
notch to put in their belts as they reach adulthood: the right to
drive, buy tobacco, vote, buy liquor, and now smoke marijuana. No
wonder so few young adults are registering to vote when they have all
of these other legal activities that they just earned their right to
participate in.

Support our teachers, parents and children by voting no on the
legalization of marijuana for recreational use.
