SELF-DESTRUCTIVE HABITS
It is somewhat strange that drug addicts are given free paraphernalia
for their habit which they have chosen out of their free will, while
those who are genuinely ill and often in dire need, such as diabetics
and people suffering from chronic pain, are faced with insurmountable
medical costs and many will have to forgo their necessary medications
because of lack of funds.
All the well-meaning support services to those who choose to live a
certain lifestyle at the expense of the taxpayers will only encourage
them to continue with their self-destructive habits.

(Look at it this way -- the more HIV and hep C transmission is
prevented among addicts, the more money the health system will have
for diabetics and those with chronic pain)
