MARIJUANA ON POLICE MENU TONIGHT
Laurence Cherniak, a pro-marijuana artist, actor, author and
photojournalist, will address the Abbotsford Police board tonight.
Cherniak will make a presentation to board members at Blue Jay elementary
at 7 p.m., asking the board to make marijuana its lowest priority, based on
models in Seattle and Victoria.
Cherniak will also present Const. Gill Puder's paper, Recovering Our
Honour, to police board officials. Puder, who lived in Abbotsford, was a
member of the Vancouver Police Department and advocated the legalization of
marijuana until his death from cancer in 1999.
