REJECTING POT ISN'T UNFRIENDLY

We could not believe what we were reading in the story 'Prince of Pot'
plans expansion of Marijuana party into Sask. (SP Oct. 19).

Marc Emery's "perception" of our province could not be further from
the truth.

To actually say that Saskatchewan is "one of the most inhospitable
places on Earth" is like saying that smoking pot is one of the
healthiest activities anyone can do. Who is he kidding?

Obviously he has never attended any events our province has ever
hosted, which are staffed with many dedicated and very friendly
volunteers who are more than happy to welcome visitors from near and
far.

How pathetic it is when he can only come up with 20 supporters out of
the near million people who live in this province. Obviously the
people who are happy to live where the "weather and landscape are
formidable" do not want to legalize marijuana!

Besides, what would be next, cocaine? What would we be teaching our
children, that it's OK to do drugs?

As well Emery should quit defacing the Canadian flag. If this is what
"inhospitable" means, then we are proud to be rude!
