POT HARVEST PROMOTED AT BOOK-STORE SIGNING

Who says you can't sell marijuana legally?

Duncan-based authors Wendy Little and Eric Nash will promote their new
book, Selling Marijuana Legally, at Chapters book store in Victoria on Nov. 13.

The book draws from a number of sources about how to go about setting up a
legal marijuana growing operation for selling pot for medicinal purposes,
said Emmett Dube, Chapters customer experience coordinator.

"They explain how to be able to send it through the mail legally to people
who need medical marijuana," he said.

The authors explain how to obtain a licence from the federal government to
set up a legal marijuana grow-op and distribute the harvest to people who
are legally allowed to smoke pot for medical reasons. Selling Marijuana
Legally is the first book to detail how to go about growing and
distributing pot legally for medicinal purposes in Canada, Dube said.

"It's definitely provocative," he said. "We're definitely willing to take
on any sort of criticism- It's a legal operation, it's a legal book and
it's factually-based."

The reason why Chapters decided to start carrying the book and promote it
is because the national chain of book stores has a policy of selling books
from local authors, Dube said.

The entire Chapters chain and its affiliates, including Smith Books and
Coles Books, will be selling the book across Canada.

The book should be on sale in the next couple of weeks, he said.

Little and Nash are owners of Island Harvest, which Dube said is one of the
first marijuana harvest companies allowed to sell pot legally for medicinal
purposes in Canada.

Little and Nash will give a 30-minute lecture about selling pot legally for
medicinal purposes when they promote their book at Chapters (1212 Douglas
St.) on Nov. 13 at 2 p.m.
