CHILDREN SHOULDN'T BE EXPOSED TO MARIJUANA
I am writing this in appeal to the parents of the students at Herman High
School.
Our neighbourhood is becoming plagued with your children deciding it is
their right to smoke marijuana where they feel like it.
I have small, preschool children who would love to be able to play outside
during lunch hours but cannot due to the exposure of this.
Our alleyways are littered with garbage, graffiti, pipes and rolling
papers. The air reeks of marijuana.
I have spoken to many of my neighbours and have confirmed that they also
have spoken to the school and to the police.
We are falsely comforted by being told your kids are monitored. They turn a
blind eye to what is going on.
The alleyway at George and Guy seems to be a favourite spot to get high. I,
as a parent, would be extremely upset knowing my children were using their
spare time to ruin their bodies.
Since the police and school refuse to act on this, it is time for the
parents. Monitor the actions of your kids, for the school apparently cannot
be bothered, and as for the police, where are they? Let our kids be free to
play in an area where they won't have to be exposed to this.
