ARE DRUG PROHIBITIONISTS IN PUSHERS' PAY?

Re: Paula A. Pennypacker's thoughtful Oct 10 letter:
"School drug tests a move toward police state." I'd like to add
that drug-war cheerleading politicians may have motives
other than just career advancement.

If you were a drug lord making several billions of dollars each year
from your illegal drug business, what type of politicians would you
most likely make large "donations" to? Politicians who proposed
policies that would essentially put you out of business?

Or politicians who favored policies that would perpetuate your
business and make your illegal business more profitable?

When alcohol was relegalized in 1933, the alcohol cartels went out of
the alcohol business overnight.

How many of our drug-war cheerleading politicians are on the payroll
of drug cartels? We will never know.
