MISINFORMATION

To the editor:

Reading the Sunday, Oct. 31, News-Miner, I came across an article on
Page 3 about Ballot Measure 2. The article states that various
supporter groups had $857,000 to spend. It then states that, "The sole
opposition group, Alaskans Against the Legalization of Marijuana/Hemp"
had about $28,000 dollars to spend. This definitely makes the race
seem one-sided.

That is until I page through the rest of section A and see a full page
ad against Measure 2 on Page 7 paid for by the Fairbanks Chamber of
Commerce and yet another smaller ad against on Page 12 paid for by
Alaska Peace Officers Association. Boy, sounds like a lot more than
one group opposing, and more money as well.

I don't know if this is intentional misinformation on the part of the
News-Miner, or if the editors don't bother to read their own paper to
notice this glaring factual inaccuracy. Perhaps they are too stoned
themselves to notice.
