VENDOR GETS LIFE FOR .05 GRAM OF SHABU
A Caloocan City trial court judge yesterday sentenced a woman to life
imprisonment for drug pushing two years after she was arrested for peddling
.05 grams of shabu.
Branch 127 Judge Myrna Dimaranan-Vidal also ordered Jocelyn dela Cruz to
pay a fine of P500,000 in damages in favor of the government.
The court likewise meted her another 17 years in prison and a fine of
P300,000 for possession of illegal drugs.
Dela Cruz was nabbed on December 28, 2002 on Yabut Street, 8th Avenue
after handing shabu to a poseur-buyer.
