DRUG RESPONSE TOO ARBITRARY
Re: "Drug crackdown long overdue," letter, Aug. 10.
If the letter-writer wants to live in an Orwellian police state where
corrupt governments and militaristic police make and enforce
arbitrary rules based on superstition and ideology, then he should go
live in one.
But then, if Stephen Harper ever gets a majority, the writer will get
his wish: More suppression of civil rights and liberties, and huge
prison population explosions, like in the U.S.
