WE MUST PRESS WAR ON DRUGS
I'm glad to see Sheriff Hurley finally doing something to stop drug
dealers. It's about time, after all these years in office, but why
make a big deal out of it?
Randolph County has four or five main highways where stops could be
made and autos checked out, even if some people yell racial profiling.
So what? They are getting drugs off the street.
At least when Gerald Hege was sheriff, drug traffickers were stopped
again and again on I85. Since he resigned, you never hear anything.
Something has got to be done about the drug problem. It is out of
hand. Drugs are in our schools, but no one does anything even when
teachers are told.
I pray my grandchildren and great-grandchildren are not exposed to
drugs.
The sheriff should be doing something every day instead of making a
big headline every once in a while. It seems nothing is being done to
stop these low-life scum.
We need law enforcement that will do something instead of sitting
behind a desk.
