BIZARRE NEEDLE EXCHANGE PROGRAM
It's bizarre a needle exchange program is even considered because some
inmates inject drugs ("Needle exchange sought for inmates," Oct, 19).
Is Canada so weak we can't control our prisons? We need to use common
sense and shut down the channels that let drugs flow in. Prison should
be a place that treats and prevents addiction rather than encourages
it. What's the point in a prison system releasing drug addicts back
into society to commit more crimes to support their habit? It's stupid.
