DRUG HOUSE HAD CHILD'S BEDROOM

York drugs and vice officers found about 100 marijuana plants in the
basement of an Aurora home Monday.

Although there was nobody inside the Batson Drive home, there was some
indication it may have been inhabited periodically.

York Regional Police found a child's bedroom containing a crib and
various toys. The Children's Aid Society was contacted and although no
arrests have been made, the investigation is continuing.

Once it is cultivated and dried, police estimate each marijuana plant
has a street value of around $1,000.

If you suspect a home in your neighbourhood is growing marijuana, call
police at 1-866-876-5423.
