'STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXPECT PRIVACY'
Civil libertarians who are against searches in "private" lockers in
Abbotsford schools have never grown up. Wake up, we live in a
different world today. Lockers in public schools are no more private
than lockers or luggage racks in airplanes or on trains. Surely
students do not have the right to expect privacy when they stash their
lockers with drugs or other dangerous items. What about the rights of
the legitimate students or workers in the factory who are responsible
citizens?
