TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE
I want to thank John Gleeson for going to bat for a fine human being.
Chris Buors has worked hard for the sick and suffering people in our
city, and his six-month sentence at the hands of Judge Alan MacInnes
is a travesty of justice. I ask Judge MacInnes, whose interests were
you serving in incarcerating Chris Buors? How are the citizens of
Manitoba any better off?
As reported elsewhere in The Sun, almost one in six Canadians are
using marijuana. It is glaringly obvious that prohibition is a total
failure, and the tax dollars being wasted on it should be spent elsewhere.
