NAVY'S DRUG POLICY NEEDS A SECOND LOOK
Re: "Testimony: Cocaine common on ship," Aug. 14.
Lt.-Cmdr. Gerry Pash states that "drug use is incompatible with
service in the Canadian Forces." If that is so, then the navy's
response to this "scandal" is more than a bit hypocritical.
Doesn't he realize that alcohol is a drug, and is certainly more
impairing of a user's functions, if not more harmful and destructive
in general?
