PRIVATE CAREGIVERS SHOULD BE DRUG TESTED

I recently had a horrifying experience that really opened my eyes, and
hopefully with this letter will open the eyes of others also.

I recently witnessed an individual who is a private caregiver through the
state smoking pot while she had an MRDD patient in her care. I immediately
contacted the authorities with this information only to find out that
unless written in her contract, she was not required to be drug tested.
Hello! This is an outrage.

Any medical affiliated individual should have to be tested regularly.
Unfortunately, it isn't done with private caregivers.

I guess when the worst happens, then maybe officials will see that this is
very important and should open their eyes and demand drug testing. After
all, private caregivers are there to do just that -- give private care --
not have private pot passing gatherings.

If you have seen or have had this experience, write in. Let our voices be
heard for those who are not mentally capable of doing so themselves!
