JAIL GUARD FACES TRAFFICKING CHARGES

A second correctional officer at the Central North Correctional Centre has
been charged, this time after banned substances were found inside the facility.

After a long investigation, OPP arrested a 37-year-old Oro-Medonte resident
after cocaine and marijuana were found in the jail.

He was charged with trafficking a controlled substance, and breach of the
peace. He is scheduled to appear in court in Midland on Jan. 6.

Another correctional officer was charged for bringing a controlled
substance into the workplace in March. That case is still before the courts.
