REBELS SPEAK OUT AGAINST DRUGS
On Friday December 3rd, students at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic
School received a blunt and informative talk by Chris and Mecko, players
for the Red Deer Rebels, on the effects of drugs.
The two players in conjunction with the RCMP Drug Section, are delivering a
message to students through an explicit true life video that shows life on
the streets in a downtown Vancouver area known for drug users.
The two hockey players received first hand knowledge of the streetlife when
they were apart of a group that toured the downtown core.
Now the players are travelling to schools and talking about what they have
learned.
A candid question and answer period followed the video.
