RESEARCHERS TO CONDUCT MARIJUANA CLINICAL TRIAL
The first clinical trial studying the safety of marijuana as medicine is
about to enroll patients at seven clinics across Canada. Led by researchers
at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, doctors plan to follow
for one year 1,400 chronic-pain patients, 350 of whom use cannabis to
manage their pain. Cancer patients are not to be included in the study.
