GONE TO POT
Your parenthetical response to the letter published in the Dec. 3 Sun from
Kirk Muse, wherein he stated decriminalization does nothing, but
legalization is the answer, was amusing. You offered: "We don't want Canada
to go to pot." Considering almost 90% of Canadians surveyed recently are in
favour of major changes to the laws prohibiting marijuana, and that 14% of
Canadians are willing to admit they are ongoing cannabis consumers, it
would appear that your comment is phrased in the wrong tense. Canada has
already "gone to pot."
Bruce Symington
(Not when 86% are NOT ongoing consumers.)
