DRUG LAWS LACK COMPASSION FOR SICK

Thank you for printing Stan White's letter, "Bible Opposes Marijuana
Laws," Dec 9. I think he gets it exactly right.
Jesus told us to show compassion for the aflicted and give comfort to
the suffering. After diligent search of the Bible, nowhere do I find
Him saying we should lock sick people in metal cages. Use is not the
same as abuse.
