CAL THOMAS IGNORES UN'S MANY SUCCESSES
In response to "Take United States out of United Nations" (Dec. 10
Viewpoint):Though the United Nations is not without many faults, Cal
Thomas ignores all of the good it does.
For a tenth of what we spend to fight the quixotic "War on Drugs," our
UN funding provides international aid for the impoverished and helps
spread democracy and human rights abroad. No other organization is
remotely equipped to carry out its philanthropic mission.
