COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STAYING CLEAN

I think it is really good that Bill Owens is putting together this
scholarship program. Many kids need help getting money to go to
college. But how is Owens going to know if the kids are staying drug
free? Like Carol DeLockroy, interim principal at Green Mountain High
School in Lakewood, said, she doesn't even know if she can track use
of drugs and alcohol due to privacy issues. I think that if the kids
want to be in this program, they just need to tell themselves not to
do drugs.

I think that this program will help kids stay in school because they
know they have somewhere to go after high school. It might be a little
hard for them to keep up because of the pre-collegiate curriculum, but
not everything comes easy. This program is a step in the right direction.
