POT PROPAGANDA PANNED
Re: White fears for children with Bill C-17, on-line edition.
Abbotsford trustee Uultsje DeJong told White he is "the voice of reason out
in the wilderness it seems at times."
Randy White, in my opinion, is one of the most dangerous people in Canada.
He has tried in the past to make it sound as if anyone who uses cannabis is
some sort of deviant who needs "reprogramming."
According to Randy, all use is abuse, and cannabis has no medical value.
Both of these claims fly in the face of all the known science on the
subject.
I do however, agree with his criticism of the Liberal's phony
decriminalization bill, in that it confuses the issue of cannabis laws for
kids, but it must be noted that part of what the Liberals like about this
bill is that it could draw 10 times as many people into the criminal justice
system. Randy should love that part.
This fiasco of a bill will cost a fortune, further clog our courtrooms, fill
our jails with "non-payment of fines" offenders, and our "rehab" clinics
with so-called "addicts."
The only way to send a clear and unambiguous message to kids about cannabis,
and to end the black market that endangers them, is to legalize and regulate
the production and sale of cannabis for adult consumption.
This worked with alcohol, and would work even better with cannabis. If
children, parents and teachers want the straight truth about cannabis, they
would do well to ignore the rhetoric and propaganda of zealots like Randy
White, and read the www.efsdp.org website for details.
