MODERATION NEEDED IN DRUG DEBATE
According to federal Health Minister Tony Clement, the Harper
government will "discourage young people from thinking there are safe
amounts or safe drugs."
I have always taught my children that there is a great difference
between cannabis and methamphetamine, between a little and too much,
between swallowing and injecting, between drinking and alcoholism and
between use and abuse.
The last thing I want my children to believe, as they observe a
majority of their peers harmlessly experimenting with cannabis, is
that all drugs, dosages, frequency of use and methods of ingestion
are equally dangerous.
