ENDING THE DRUG TRADE

Re: "Find root of drug trade," by Art Cooper, Saturday Letters.

When will we learn that we cannot legislate morality or gather up hundreds
of millions of firearms?

It is both the haves and the have-nots who want drugs. Does anyone else see
that the laws regarding prohibition of drugs are the problem? I've read in
The Dallas Morning News that Texas will need more prisons in the near
future. And who will be occupying them? For the most part, drug users and
drug dealers. Prohibition did not work before, and it is not working now.
