HELP POLICE, FAMILY UNDERSTAND WHITLATCH'S DEATH

On Sept. 7, my 19-year-old nephew, Robby Whitlatch, along with Stacia
Hardin, a girl he had known only four days, were found dead in Stacia's
apartment.

The local newspapers sensationalized that both Robby and Stacia were
suspected of dying from a heroin overdose. Robby was a responsible kid who
had two jobs, a car, an apartment, bank accounts and plans to go to
college. The Saturday before his death he told his friends he was going to
help a friend after work. That was the last time anyone ever heard from
Robby. By the time he and Stacia's bodies were discovered, they had been
dead more than 24 hours.

The State Crime Lab found no heroin in Robby or Stacia's system. They found
a drug called methadone. This drug is commonly used as a treatment for
heroin addicts. This makes no sense as Robby was not an addict, and Stacia
had refused methadone treatment for her past addiction. Someone looking for
a high would not resort to methadone, as it is not a euphoric drug.

My nephew was a compassionate, loving individual with a fantastic sense of
humor, a gorgeous smile and comical gestures that would steal your heart.
He died trying to help a friend. I ask anyone reading this letter to please
remember both Robby and Stacia in your prayers. If you have any information
regarding their deaths, please contact the police.
