WAR ON DRUGS AS HOPELESS AS U.S. FIGHT IN IRAQ
To the editor:
Re: "Prohibition failing spectacularly," Aug. 22.
Kudos to Tom Sandborn for telling it how it is.
Unless Canada starts treating drug addiction as a health issue rather
than a crime, we can expect to see the problem grow
exponentially.
Sadly, our politicians seem determined to follow the hopeless example
of our neighbours to the south. The so-called "war on drugs" is as
impossible to win as the conflict in Iraq.
