FREE HEROIN PROGRAM IS WORTH A TRY

Although the idea of giving away free heroin doesn't sit well at
first, one only has to look at all the despair in the Downtown
Eastside to see that conventional solutions are not working. It is
time that society stopped developing addict programs designed to
appease the sensibilities of soccer moms and began to actually address
the realities of serious drug addictions.

I am not convinced this new program will succeed, but I applaud the
fact that an effort is being made.
