POLICE WANT PROHIBITION
In response to a very accurate letter titled Grow-op hazard hyped (Russell
Barth, Feb. 13) you state, "They (the police) don't write the laws." Excuse
me, but while they might not have written the law they certainly do
everything in their power to keep it from being changed, including
providing misleading information to the press.
I see the police quoted quite often as "experts" on the effects of drugs on
society when they have absolutely no qualification to act as social
scientists. The fact is, they get a lot of money to continue the war on pot
and they are not going to let it go without a fight.
