DRUG WARS CORRUPT MANY IN LAW ENFORCEMENT
As a retired police officer, I am deeply saddened by the alleged actions of
my colleagues in the beating and torture of Lester Siler.
I am not surprised, however. Too many officers have a holy-war
attitude about drug prohibition and the war on drugs.
With God on their side, they believe they can do anything and still go
to heaven. Drug prohibition will continue to corrupt and stain my
profession until we become as wise as our grandparents and end this
failed public policy.
