ARE DRUG DOGS REALLY NEEDED?
To the editor:
Can someone please explain to me why the Forest Service needs a drug
dog up at Snowbowl to hassle skiers. And while they are at it maybe
they can also explain why the Game and Fish needs a drug dog at Lake
Mary to hassle the fishermen or why the park ranger at Lake Mead needs
a drug dog to hassle the boaters.
What happened to the concept of "peace officer?" This looks like the
opposite of peace officer. This looks like a bunch of green uniformed
nitwits going out and trying to stir up trouble where no trouble
previously existed. It seems to me if it takes a drug dog to detect
drugs, it can't be that much of a problem. We're not talking about the
eastbound lane of I-40 here.
While they're explaining all this stuff maybe they could also explain
how this isn't Big Brother, because it sure looks like Big Brother to
me.
