WHOSE KIDS ARE THEY?

To the editor;

It's time this community woke up and realizes that there is a drug
problem in our town.

Just last week I saw a known crystal meth user up town, there were two
young boys about 14 or 15 hanging out with him. Whose kids are they?

Why are they with him?

Is he giving them crystal meth?

Is that just a cigarette their sharing or is he smoking meth with
them?

Oh my God!

Those were my thoughts as I watched the three of them walk off down
the street.

A week later I am still bothered about those kids.

I give the lady who wrote the story (Feb. 7, 2005, Star/Journal) a lot
of credit, she spoke out and let everyone know about her daughter and
the drug problem in Barriere.

I want her to know that she's not alone, we feel her pain just like it
was yesterday.

A Barriere parent who has also fought for a child with drug
addictions.
