IT KILLS OUR CHILDREN AND DESTROYS OUR FAMILIES
I'm a 17-year-old girl who has been exposed to and affected by someone in
my life using and being addicted to methamphetamines (crystal meth).
My mother had a drug problem with coke for a long time. Then, two years
ago, meth was introduced to her, and from then on her life has been a
downward spiral.
She has no home, no job. She steals from everyone to support her habit, and
she doesn't think anything is wrong.
My younger sister, 13, and I are now living with my grandparents, who have
been wonderful.
It has been so hard on all of us. We all seem to have lost hope.
I lost my dad to drugs and now, I fear, I'll lose my mom too.
I'm not sure how to help her or if she can be helped. I just don't know
what to do anymore.
I just miss my mom.
