CANNABIS USE WIDESPREAD
Re: Cannabis debate a blast from past, Letter, Feb. 26.
The only "blast from the past" I detect here is Tom Cook's letter and the
notion that cannabis use deserves continued police harrassment and jail
terms. The "good and responsible citizens of Toronto" whom I know encourage
a more enlightened and reasoned approach to the widespread and
statistically unstoppable use of marijuana.
Just as the federal Conservative party seeks privately to encourage the
departure of "Neanderthals" from its ranks, so also do rational Canadians
seek to diminish the influence of socially Neanderthal points of view.
