A NEW LEAF
The grass is evidently greener on the other side of the political
fence. Marc-Boris St-Maurice, former leader of the Marijuana Party,
has decided to resign in order to join the federal Liberals. The
government has a bill before the Commons to decriminalize marijuana,
and Mr. St-Maurice will back a resolution at the party's convention
this weekend calling for the drug's legalization.
A tokin' effort, to be sure. And if it passes, supporters will
doubtless celebrate by giving each other high-fives.
