PUNISHMENTS MUST FIT THE CRIME
My heart goes out to the families of the fallen RCMP officers in this
most recent tragedy.
I don't believe that imposing harsher penalties on marijuana grow
operations is going to cut down on this type of crime or any other for
that matter.
Shouldn't we be focusing on the Justice system as a whole, rather than
only one particular offence.
Rarely does the punishment fit the crime.
The system as it stands allows for the convicted criminals to have
more rights than victims of the crimes.
It also allows adults to use children under the age of 18 to commit
these crimes in return for cash and a guarantee any criminal record
will be erased when they turn 18.
Why do we always try to put a Band-aid on a broken
limb?
