CRACK DOWN HARD ON GROW-OPS

This horrible tragedy of four RCMP officers shot to death at the
Mayerthorpe, Alta., grow-op better be a wake-up call.

It sickens me to think it took an incident like this to change some
laws in this country. Stop slapping these marijuana grow-operators on
the wrist.

I'm also concerned about the response of RCMP Commissioner Giuliano
Zaccardelli.

After these brutal slayings, he wants to "consider decriminalizing
simple possession of small amounts of pot."

Huh? Does he consider that people who use small amounts of pot perhaps
get the stuff from places like the grow-op in Mayerthorpe?

May those policemen not have died in vain. Crack down hard on
grow-ops!
