POLICE NEED JUSTICE, TOO
Editor:
A judge throws a case against a grow operation out of court because the
police didn't give the criminals enough time to answer the door. How
ridiculous is it to handcuff the police by telling them they have to allow
criminals time to answer the door?
They could use the time to arm themselves or attempt to escape.
The police have a dangerous job. If judges feel police should give more
notice then they should go on all the drug busts and be the first one
through the door.
On March 3, four police officers were gunned down near Edmonton while
serving a warrant at a grow operation. For the judge's sake, I hope the
cause wasn't giving him time to answer the door.
