KILLINGS NOT ABOUT POT USE
Re: Pot raids continue during tragedy, March 6.
The killing of four Mounties in Alberta is a horrible event, a tragedy
for the families involved and all Canadians surely share a sense of
abhorrence and sympathy.
But please, let's not overreact. The killings had little to do with
marijuana grow houses or loosening simple possession laws for pot. It
was about a premeditated murder by a thug who hated cops. If anything,
Canada's pathetic parole laws and out-of-touch judges should be given
a long, hard look.
