FACT OR FICTION?
Editor, The Star:
According to RCMP Superintendent Janice Arm strong, quoted in the Feb. 10
issue of The Aldergrove Star: "A large majority of grow-ops are linked to
organized crime... Several raided last year had a Vietnamese gang
connection. Despite that, a very small percentage of growers ever see the
inside of a jail."
Can Armstrong support these claims that over 50 per cent (which would be a
majority) have links to organized crime? I'd love to hear the quoted
statistics as they are plainly listed as a minority, not a majority. I'd
take anything Armstrong said with a grain of salt if this is what she
passes off as facts.
Police wonder why the average Canadian doesn't believe them. This is
exactly why.
