MAYORS STATEMENT IS IRRESPONSIBLE, INSULTING AND IGNORANT

I wish to comment on the statement Mayor Dave Bronconnier made in regards
to an article in your March 20 paper about the increase in marijuana grow
operations. The mayor's response to a statement about Calgary being viewed
as the finest marijuana grow operation capital in Canada was: "Look at
Vancouver where they're practically encouraging people to shoot up." This
statement is irresponsible, insulting and ignorant. He should apologize to
the people of Vancouver and Calgary taxpayers for this embarrassing statement.
