AFGHANISTAN'S OPIUM FARMING HURTS AMERICAS
There is another tragedy going on that has had very little coverage by the
news media. The U.S. Government has now admitted that they are allowing
Afghan farmers to continue growing and producing large amounts of opium.
They say they cannot stop this, because it would hurt the farmers and the
Afghan economy. What a deal, since much of the opiates, like heroin, end up
in the USA.
My question is, who is going to bat for the families that have lost people,
maybe thousands, due to deaths from the derivatives of opium? It seems
ludicrous that we spend lives, material and money to liberate Afghanistan,
and they can continue to ship poison to kill our citizens and many young
people.
I believe if the news media and the cable TV news networks would give time
to this situation, which is being allowed by the U.S. Government, people
would demand that this would come to a halt. The U.S. Government is
allowing illegality to which they would prosecute a citizen.
