AUNUR AWAITS TEST RESULTS IN DRUG CASE

Los Angeles, CA, Apr. 4 (UPI) -- Philippine actress Nora Aunor was
awaiting chemical test results Monday for illegal drugs allegedly
confiscated from her at Los Angeles International Airport.

Aunor, aka Nora Cabaltera Villamayor, was arrested last week for
allegedly carrying eight grams of metampethamine hydrochloride, TV
Patrol, Manila, reported.

The actress' manager, Nori Sayo, said Aunor met with lawyers on the
status of the case Monday, but has been advised not to comment.

"We don't want to preempt anything. We're awaiting a laboratory
report, a chemical analysis of the court [about the substance]," Sayo
said.

Sayo said Aunor is thankful for the sympathy of fans and friends. Sayo
did not say whether Aunor would undergo a drug test.

The possession offense is considered a misdemeanor in California, and
is punishable by a maximum six-month imprisonment.
