DON'T SHIFT BLAME FROM WRONGDOERS

Amy Smith's comment congratulating the Milford High School
administration for ruining students' lives by arresting drug dealers
and users provided a sardonic punctuation for the Enquirer's article.
I hope Amy and the involved students will appreciate that this action
was intended to save and improve the lives of the young people rather
than ruining them.

Confronting the drug situation by hiring an undercover investigator,
paying a large amount of money, and following through with the legal
consequence was an action of great courage and social responsibility.
I'm sure the Milford administration has tried many alternatives. The
fact is that the students have sole responsibility for their illegal
activity and the consequences. Attempting to shift blame or convey
guilt upon the school administrators is intolerable.
