IT'S ABOUT POOR CHOICES
Re: Uhurus protest fatal shooting, April 21.
Come on, Uhurus, let's get real! Jarrell S. Walker was in charge of
his own destiny. He made severely poor choices in his life, and now
his family is left grieving. At 19 years old, you know better than to
associate yourself with drug dealers and criminals.
Walker chose to be in that house. He chose to ignore the deputy's
commands. He put Deputy Christopher Taylor in a very unpredictable and
frightening situation. If Walker had simply stopped, and put his hands
up, he'd still be here today.
This situation isn't another example of law enforcement targeting
black youths. This is an example of a person putting his life, and the
life of a law enforcement officer, in jeopardy.
