REFUSING NEEDLE EXCHANGE A GOOD CHOICE

Abbotsford city council members are to be commended for refusing to allow
safe injection sites and needle exchanges in our community. If junkies want
to kill themselves that's their business, but there's no way we should be
assisting them in the process by providing them with shooting galleries and
injection equipment.

Making more detox centres available to these people might be a good idea,
but until an addict is fully committed to getting off drugs and turning
his/her life around there's little chance intervention of any kind will help.
