DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: WAR ON DRUGS STARTS IN COMMUNITY
Dear Editor,
Stores that are frequented by children are no places for drug paraphernalia
to be sold [Store no place for bongs, April 19 Letters to the Editor,
Langley Advance News].
Not only that, drug paraphernalia should not legally be available for
purchase anywhere in this province.
With all the fight against drugs and addiction in our communities, can
anyone logically explain why there are no laws against it?
Your correspondent said he intends to do his part by not patronizing such
stores, and I'm with him.
Part of "doing my part" is supporting events like "Assault on Addictions,"
which is coming up on June 4 at 8061 - 264th St., to help support
organizations in the Lower Mainland that are combating addiction.
We can make a difference in our communities if we unite in one voice and
agree that the war on drugs can be won. Laws can be changed, but the voice
speaking out to make it happen needs to be loud and clear.
