SPREADING BLAME FOR RCMP TRAGEDY MAKES NO SENSE

Although I applaud your use of varying perspectives, Ronald W. Ingram's
March 16 letter is particularly insulting.

It is just as easy for me to blame prohibitionists and their seriously
failing 'war on drugs' for the recent deaths of the four RCMP officers as
it is for Ingram to blame consumers of marijuana. Following the same logic
I could also blame people who consume gasoline, especially SUV users, for
the mess in the Middle East. But I won't do that because it is dumb.

These deaths have been shocking to us all, but irrationality is going to
guarantee that the young constables died in vain.
